The Electric Blue Acara is one of the most breathtaking freshwater fish in the hobby. With its stunning metallic blue and teal coloring that shimmers under aquarium lighting, this fish is guaranteed to become the centerpiece of any tank.

One of the most appealing qualities of the Electric Blue Acara is their relatively peaceful nature compared to other cichlids. They make excellent community fish when kept with similarly sized tank mates. During breeding however they will become territorial and protective of their eggs and fry.

Electric Blue Acaras are easy to feed and accept a wide variety of foods including high quality cichlid pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and other meaty foods. Feed 2–3 times daily for best growth and coloring.
